Patients may request prescriptions in writing or by completing the online form to request their prescription. Our admin staff members are not permitted to accept verbal requests for medication.
Repeat prescription requests are dealt with on a 48 hours notice basis. This policy is in place to:
Ensure maximum patient safety
Ensure that patients are aware of the medications they are requesting
Reduce the risk of prescribing of unnecessary medications
Ensure accurate records of patient medication requests are retained
Minimise human error
For prescriptions that are needed urgently ( i.e in less than 48 Hours) please phone the surgery directly.
